Learning Support Services
At the Arab International Academy, we are committed to providing an inclusive learning environment that offers all students equitable opportunities for success and progress. We recognise individual differences, diverse learning needs, and a variety of learning styles, and respond to them thoughtfully and intentionally.
We employ a range of teaching strategies that are responsive to students’ learning approaches, with particular emphasis on language support. The Academy provides specialised teachers in teaching Arabic and English as a second language to support students in developing their language skills and completing academic tasks with confidence.
The school team also includes psychological and social counsellors who support students’ mental, emotional, and social well-being, follow up on individual needs, and contribute to the organisation of activities and programmes that promote psychosocial wellbeing within the school environment.
In addition, the Academy offers a specialised department to support students with additional learning needs. This team includes specialists in special education, speech and language therapy, and behaviour support. Working collaboratively with teachers and parents, the team develops individualised education plans that are implemented within the classroom in line with the school’s inclusive education policy, with individual support sessions provided outside the classroom when needed.
The Academy values strong partnerships with parents and is committed to ongoing, effective communication in support of their role as key partners in their children’s learning journey.
