Learning how to learn: The IB approaches to learning at AIA
At the Preschool, we explicitly and implicitly teach the International Baccalaureate's Approaches to Learning (ATL). These skills stand as a cornerstone of our educational philosophy, emphasizing the cultivation of vital skills for lifelong learning.
Through these skills (thinking, research, communication, social, and self-management), students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-management abilities essential for academic success and personal growth.
These skills extend beyond the classroom, empowering students to navigate diverse challenges and contribute meaningfully to their communities. By fostering curiosity, communication, and collaboration, we equip learners with the tools to thrive in an ever-evolving global landscape.
