Overview

The Early Years Section at Arab International Academy – Lusail welcomes children aged 3 to 5 and represents the foundational stage of their educational journey. The kindergarten offers a bilingual education that focuses on the child’s holistic development; cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically.
The Early Years Section draws its educational philosophy from the Reggio Emilia approach, which is rooted in play and inquiry and views the child as capable of thinking, creating, and expressing themselves through “the hundred languages.” This means that children possess multiple and creative modes of expression and communication — such as drawing, dancing, painting, building, and imaginative play — not only through verbal language. As a result, the classroom environment becomes a dynamic space for exploration, experimentation, and discovery.
Learning in each classroom is facilitated by two core teachers: one Arabic-speaking and one English-speaking, ensuring a balanced language experience from the earliest years. The programme also integrates the arts and personal, social, and physical education into the child’s daily experience, supporting motor skill development, expanding imagination, and strengthening communication, self-expression, and confident interaction.
The Academy believes that a genuine partnership between school and family is the foundation of healthy child development. For this reason, we adopt an open-communication policy, build strong relationships with parents, and encourage their active participation in school activities and events. This harmony between home and school, and the family’s engagement in the school community, nurtures children’s sense of belonging and supports their holistic growth within a warm, family-like environment.
