Learning Support Services
At the Arab International Academy Early Years Section, we believe that every child deserves an equitable opportunity to grow and learn at their own pace. For this reason, we are committed to providing an inclusive learning environment that recognises individual differences among children and supports their academic, emotional, and social needs.
Learning in the Early Years is based on a variety of teaching approaches, allowing each child multiple ways to express themselves and develop understanding. Each classroom is supported by a teacher and a teaching assistant who work together to accompany children throughout their daily experiences and to foster a strong sense of safety and belonging.
Children are also supported by a dedicated team that includes counsellors and psychologists who foster mental wellbeing and support children’s emotional and social development through ongoing observation and purposeful activities.
In addition, the Academy provides specialised support for children who require additional learning assistance. This support is delivered by a multidisciplinary team that includes specialists in special education, speech and language therapy, and behaviour support. The team works collaboratively with teachers and parents to develop individualised plans tailored to each child’s needs. These plans are implemented primarily within the classroom, in line with the Academy’s inclusive education policy, with individual sessions provided when needed.
Through this approach, we aim for every child to feel seen, accepted, and supported, and to experience learning and growth within an inclusive environment that respects individuality and celebrates each child’s strengths.
