Learning Support Services
The Arab International Academy – Lusail is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment that offers all students equitable opportunities for success and growth, by recognizing individual differences, diverse learning needs, and varied learning styles.
The Academy adopts a range of teaching strategies that respond to students’ learning profiles and places particular emphasis on language support. Specialized teachers support students in learning Arabic and English as second languages, helping them develop linguistic skills and complete academic tasks with confidence.
The school team also includes psychological and social counsellors who support students’ emotional and social wellbeing, monitor individual needs, and contribute to the planning of activities and programmes that promote wellbeing and emotional balance within the school environment.
In addition, the Academy provides a dedicated Learning Support Department for students with special educational needs. The department includes specialists in special education, speech and language therapy, and behaviour support, who work collaboratively with teachers and parents to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). These plans are implemented within the classroom in line with the Academy’s inclusion policy, with individual out-of-class sessions provided when needed.
The Academy firmly believes in the importance of partnership with parents and strives to maintain continuous, effective communication with families, supporting their role as key partners in their children’s learning journey.
