Technology Integration
At the Arab International Academy - Lusail, we believe that technology is a powerful tool that enriches learning and supports knowledge construction when used thoughtfully and effectively. Accordingly, technology is integrated into the learning process in ways that enhance interaction, encourage inquiry, and create dynamic learning environments responsive to students’ needs.
The Academy focuses on developing students’ digital competence and promoting the responsible use of technology as an essential skill for academic and professional success in an evolving world. We also provide a modern technological infrastructure, including advanced educational tools and reliable internet connectivity, enabling both students and teachers to access and use learning resources effectively.
Continuous professional development is a key priority at the Academy. Teachers receive regular training focused on the purposeful integration of technology in the classroom, expanding learning opportunities, diversifying teaching approaches, and increasing student engagement. Through this approach, technology is used as a supportive tool for active learning and for building a cohesive learning community of students and teachers, enhancing the overall quality of teaching and learning.
At the secondary stage, Design Technology is taught with a particular focus on digital design, where students learn to use a range of digital design software within an integrated framework to understand and apply the design cycle in practice. This approach supports the development of creative thinking, problem-solving, and innovation skills.
Secondary students are also required to bring their personal laptops to school daily and use them as a core learning tool. This practice supports interactive learning, fosters independence, and prepares students for the demands of higher education and professional life.
