Overview

The Secondary School at the Arab International Academy – Lusail serves students from Grade 6 through Grade 12 and is committed to delivering high-quality international programs that promote academic excellence and support students’ holistic development. The Academy is authorized to offer the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP) and the Career-related Programme (CP). The Academy is also authorized to grant the High School Diploma (American Diploma).
These programmes focus on developing inquiry skills, critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning, while supporting students in nurturing their individual strengths and interests. This prepares them for the next stage of education and for future academic and professional pathways.
In terms of language of instruction, students in Grades 6 to 10 study Mathematics and Science in English while continuing to learn three languages; Arabic, English, and French or Spanish, at varying levels. History is taught in Arabic or English according to the student’s first language.
In Grades 11 and 12, all subjects are taught in English in preparation for the International Baccalaureate examinations, which are conducted in English.
At this stage, the Academy offers multiple graduation pathways that lead to the equivalency of the General Secondary Education Certificate issued by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the State of Qatar, as well as eligibility for admission at local and international universities. These pathways include:
- International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP)
- International Baccalaureate Career related Programme (IB CP)
- High School Diploma (American Diploma)
