Q: Is the school co-educational?

A: Yes. Arab International Academy – Lusail is a co-educational school across all grade levels.

Q: What curriculum does the Academy offer?

A: The Academy offers the full continuum of the International Baccalaureate programmes:
Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and Career-related Programme (CP).

In addition, the Academy offers the High School Diploma (American Diploma).

Q: What is the language of instruction?

A:

  • In the Early Years and Primary School, students learn in both Arabic and English within a balanced bilingual model.
  • Starting from Grade 3, students study French or Spanish as a third language.
  • From Grades 6 to 10, Mathematics and Science are taught in English, while students continue studying Arabic, English, and French or Spanish at varying levels.
  • History is taught in Arabic or English, according to the student’s first language.
  • In Grades 11 and 12, all subjects are taught in English in preparation for the Diploma Programme examinations.

The Academy places particular emphasis on History education due to its role in strengthening identity and fostering a sense of belonging, while also developing critical understanding of global history and respect for diverse cultures. For this reason, a Global History curriculum has been developed for Grades 6 to 10 and is delivered in Arabic or English, according to the student’s first language.

Q: What facilities are available at the Academy?

A: The Lusail campus features modern educational facilities, including fully equipped science laboratories, sports fields, a swimming pool, libraries, and dedicated rooms for music, visual arts, and drama, in addition to spacious outdoor areas designed for student use.

 

 

Q: What extracurricular activities does the Academy offer?

A: The Academy offers a diverse range of extracurricular activities during and after school hours, including social, athletic, artistic, cultural, and scientific programmes that support the holistic development of each student.

These activities aim to strengthen students’ sense of belonging, develop their skills, and provide varied learning experiences through sports teams, competitions, and both internal and external participation across multiple fields.

Q: What age groups does the Academy serve?

A: The Academy serves students from three to eighteen years of age, from Pre- K through Grade 12.

Q: What is the maximum class size?

A: The maximum number of students per class is twenty-five.

A: The Academy is located in Wadi Al Banat, next to Doha Institute for Graduate Studies.

Q: Is there a school uniform?

A: Yes. All students are required to wear the official school uniform, which is available through a dedicated store located within the Academy building.

Q: Is there a cafeteria on campus?

A: Yes. The Academy provides a school cafeteria in collaboration with a specialized school food services provider, offering a healthy and balanced daily menu.
