Arab International Academy – Lusail places strong emphasis on developing proficiency in both Arabic and English beginning in the Early Years, recognizing that the early years are critical for language acquisition and consolidation. This focus continues throughout the Primary School, where students learn both languages in a balanced model through Grade 5. Beginning in Grade 3, students also study French or Spanish as a third language.
From Grades 6 to 10, Mathematics and Science are taught in English, while students continue studying Arabic, English, and French or Spanish at progressive levels based on their needs. History is taught in Arabic or English according to the student’s first language.
In Grades 11 and 12, all subjects are taught in English in preparation for the Diploma Programme examinations. The Academy places particular importance on History education due to its role in strengthening identity, fostering belonging, and developing a critical understanding of global history. To support this vision, a Global History curriculum has been developed for Grades 6 to 10. It is taught in Arabic for Arabic speaking students and delivered with the same content in English for non-Arabic speakers, supported by a range of diverse learning resources.
