Early Years
The Early Years Section at Arab International Academy - Lusail welcomes children aged 3 to 5 and represents the foundational stage of their educational journey. The Early Years Section offers a bilingual learning experience grounded in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), with a strong emphasis on the child’s holistic development; cognitive, social, emotional, and physical.
The Early Years educational approach is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which is rooted in play and inquiry and views the child as capable, creative, and able to express themselves in multiple ways. Within this approach, the classroom becomes a dynamic space for exploration and discovery, where children learn through interaction, curiosity, and hands-on experiences.
Learning in each classroom is facilitated by two main teachers - one Arabic-speaking and one English-speaking - ensuring a balanced and rich language experience from the early years. The programme also integrates the arts, personal, social, and physical education into the child’s daily experience, supporting motor skill development, expanding imagination, and strengthening communication, self-expression, and confident interaction.
The Academy believes that a strong partnership between school and family is essential for a child’s healthy development. For this reason, it adopts an open-communication policy, builds close collaborative relationships with parents, and encourages their participation in school activities and events. This harmony between home and school nurtures children’s sense of safety and belonging, and supports their holistic growth within a warm, family-like environment.
