Message from the Head of School and the Principal of the Secondary School
Welcome to Arab International Academy Lusail
It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I welcome you to our community. At AIA we value building our community above all else, and we believe that education is more than academic achievement; it is about nurturing confident, knowledgeable, and internationally minded individuals with a strong sense of their identity who go on to play integral roles in our ever-changing world in future. To that end, we are committed to providing a safe, dynamic, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment where every learner feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
We deeply value student voice. Learning is designed to be focused on concept-based and inquiry-led, meaningful, interactive, for our youngest learners, authentic while centered around play. Sustainability is another cornerstone of our vision, and we have intentionally integrated the Education for Sustainability standards into our curriculum so our learners can develop environmental awareness, social responsibility, and the skills needed to bring about a more sustainable, equitable, and just future.
We believe in the power of multilingualism; therefore, a defining feature of our Lusail branch is our dual-language program from kindergarten through grade 5, focused on teaching equally in both Arabic and English. This ensures that learners build strong foundations in both languages, offering them opportunities to think, communicate, and work confidently in both languages. In addition, starting in grade 3, we offer our learners the opportunity to choose a third language, either French or Spanish.
As a cultures of thinking school we nurture critical and creative thinking and intentionally cultivate intellectual curiosity, reflection, and thoughtful dialogue through embedding thinking routines and inquiry-based practices into daily learning to empower our students to become independent thinkers and problem solvers.
In high school we are proud to offer multiple pathways to ensure inclusive opportunities and flexibility for our students while maintaining high academic standards. They can pursue one of three pathways: the IBDP, the IBCP, or the High School Diploma, and they are supported in selecting the one that aligns with their strengths, and future goals.
Our vision is clear, and we look to a future where we are firmly established as a leading international school in Qatar whose graduates are skilled, bilingual critical thinkers who are grounded in their values, confident in their skills, and prepared to shape a better, more just world through purposeful action.
