Q: How can we apply to the Academy?
A: Applications can be submitted online through the Academy’s website.
Q: How long is an application valid for?
A: An application remains valid for one academic year. If the student is not accepted during the current year, a new application must be submitted for the following academic year.
Q: What is the age range of students at the Academy?
A: The Academy serves students from three to eighteen years of age, from Kindergarten 1 through Grade 12.
Q: What is the minimum age for Kindergarten admission?
A: The child must have turned three years old by 31 December of the year of admission.
Q: Are admission assessments required?
A: Yes. Kindergarten applicants undergo assessment interviews, while students applying from Grade 1 to Grade 12 sit for assessment tests to determine their academic level and ensure appropriate programme placement.
Q: How can students prepare for the assessment test?
A: The assessment measures general cognitive abilities and does not require prior preparation.
Q: Does the Academy accept students with special educational needs?
A: Yes, subject to availability of places and the Academy’s ability to provide appropriate support for each student’s needs.
Q: Can students enrol after the academic year has begun?
A: Yes, subject to seat availability and in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s admissions policies.
Q: What is the maximum class size?
A: Each class accommodates a maximum of 25 students.
Q: Where is the Academy located?
A: The Academy is located in Wadi Al Banat, next to the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies.
Q: Is there a school uniform?
A: Yes, all students are required to wear the official school uniform, available at a dedicated store within the Academy.
Q: Is there a school cafeteria?
A: Yes, the Academy partners with a specialized school catering company and provides a healthy daily menu for students.
