Arabic Literacy Week
Throughout the Arabic Literacy Week, AIA- Lusail held a variety of activities that sparked excitement, creativity, and a deeper connection to Arabic heritage. The “Search for the Lost Treasure” activity fostered teamwork and interaction among learners, creating an atmosphere of excitement and adventure. The “Storyteller” activity, which brought to life the traditions of Arab storytelling, allowed students to experience the art of narrative in its authentic form.
We were also thrilled to host the “Parents Read to Their Children” activity, where a large number of parents participated in reading Arabic stories to their children’s classes, reinforcing the bond between family and education. The week was further enriched by a special guest, writer Hajar Qwaidri, who shared her literary journey, motivating students to embrace a love for reading and writing.
Another highlight was the “Interactive Story” activity, where learners from various primary levels collaborated to write segments of a collective story, encouraging creativity and teamwork. Lastly, the “Be a Calligrapher for a Day” activity allowed students to try their hand at Arabic calligraphy, giving them a tactile experience of this ancient art and helping them appreciate the beauty of their language.
These diverse activities not only highlighted the richness of Arabic culture but also deepened the students' connection to their language, fostering pride and enthusiasm for their heritage.
